It was time for the EQL10 div3 finals!

TKS made an obvious map pick in the form of CMT1b, what a shocker. We were hanging in the game, but after the first pent, they built up lead and never stopped. We weren't that much behind in general, but their victory was not really threatened at any point. Still, it was a good fight from us and by far better performance than in our group game...

DM2: Claustrophobopolis (212 – 167)

Our pick was also pretty obvious (DM2), since TKS had been defeated on two occasion before in this. We got very good start, I took low-rl and then quad and by that built up lead in the first minutes. After some early domination, we were all bouncing around low-rl all of a sudden. We didn't panic as this was still so early game and eventually took the map back. Even though this was quite tight game throughout the 20mins, we were pretty confident we could handle their offensive and managed to strike back when we lost tele/quad temporarily.

We got a fairly good start in this also: I got rl and someone else got quad. We got a couple of following quads also, but then TKS got some weapons and armored guys into key points and we were forced to retreat. After that it was a tight fight and both teams got frags pretty consistently. Too bad we didn't catch them at any point; it would've been a whole different story if we had won this one. Now they got the upper hand.

DM3: The Abandoned Base (137 – 214)

We got to choose from the remaining maps: DM3 or CMT3. We agreed to pick DM3 as we wanted to go out in style no matter what and DM3 was the better map. On the other hand TKS's performance on CMT3 was not really known (they did not play that in EQL even once), but as they were CMT1b-experts, we thought they would know that one aswell. We needed to defeat them in both of these maps, so it would have not made a big difference anyway.

The start was quite even, us taking rl and killed enemy quad and they got pent. After some early hassle (some frags and many dropped rl-packs etc.) we noticed our victory was slipping away. TKS fought well, storming to rl-packs and quad as a team. We weren't able to fight back strong enough and they were building their lead steadily. We fucked up some crucial opportunities so that ultimately sealed our doom. GGs for a nice game though, maybe we need some more luck and team play the next time... :p
